We’re the members of Unifor 567 Unit 5, and we could use your help in preventing our employer from freezing our wages for 3 years and cutting our pensions.
The three of us are currently negotiating a new collective agreement with our employer, CUPE 4600, the union that represents about 3000 staff at Carleton Unversity.
Unfortunately, negotiations are not going well and a strike seems increasingly likely.
But we’re a very small union; there’s just 3 of us! So we’re hoping you might be able to send some solidarity our way to help us get a fair deal at the bargaining table.
We’ll be posting more details soon about the bargaining situation but, in the meantime, here’s what you can do to help:
- share this post on the platforms of your choice
- follow us here, on Twitter (@unifor567unit5), and Facebook (Unifor567Unit5)
- post some supportive messages on social media using #FairDealfor5, and feel free to tag us and/or our employer (@cupe4600)
- send us jokes or supportive messages to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
In solidarity and struggle,
LeAnne Parrish, Pierre Beaulieu-Blais, Dan Sawyer
